William M. Strom

Senior Counsel

Mr. Strom joined Sperling & Slater in 2022. He is a trial lawyer, litigator, and counselor with experience in complex commercial litigation and business torts, antitrust, class action, professional liability, civil rights litigation, derivative suits, commercial arbitration, internal investigations, and First Amendment defense. Mr. Strom has represented clients in both state and federal court and at both the trial and appellate levels. His extensive pro bono practice includes first-chair federal jury trial practice and a jury verdict in his client’s favor in a Section 1983 prisoner’s rights case in December 2019.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Strom worked at the Chicago litigation boutique Palmersheim & Mathew, LLP, at the international litigation firm Jenner & Block, and in the Children and Families Practice Group at LAF (now Legal Aid Chicago), where he focused on education law. From 2014–2015, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Sue E. Myerscough of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
