Mr. Bateman litigates complex disputes. He has represented large corporations, non-profits, and individuals in federal court, in state court, and before administrative bodies. Mr. Bateman has represented plaintiffs, defendants, and third parties in litigation involving commercial, constitutional, property, antitrust, equity, criminal, and civil rights laws.

Prior to joining Sperling & Slater, Mr. Bateman worked for law firms in Illinois and Michigan and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sara L. Ellis of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
