Jay S. Berlinsky​

Jay Berlinsky concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law and energy. He represents a broad range of business entities, including manufacturers and service firms and those organizations involved in developing energy facilities. Mr. Berlinsky’s corporate work focuses on mergers and acquisitions, primarily on behalf of privately owned companies involving both sales to and purchases from public and private enterprises. He also has substantial experience in real estate development and operations, including construction, leasing, zoning and financing.

Mr. Berlinsky has extensive experience negotiating complex transactions for regional, national and international corporations involving multiple layers of financing. Recent transactions have involved corporations and other entities in the material handling, transportation, railcar repair, food and building supply industries. In his national and international energy practice, Mr. Berlinsky assists the developers of energy facilities through complicated development and financing negotiations. He has performed legal work for energy facilities in Indonesia; at the Aladdin Hotel complex in Las Vegas, Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, the Pittsburgh Steelers football stadium; for the district energy systems in Chicago; for a Windsor, Ontario, Canada casino; and for cogeneration facilities in Canada and in the Eastern and Midwestern parts of the United States.

Mr. Berlinsky has authored numerous articles about the sale and acquisition of businesses and has spoken about the development of energy projects.
